CAKE People Development has deep roots in Suffolk. For many years our office was in Diss, right on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, and we still deliver in-person programmes there today. Since 2020 we've been registered in Norwich (on Thorpe Road) operating as a fully remote team, which means Suffolk organisations get seamless access to everything we do: delivered virtually, in person, or at your workplace.

And we do more than run courses. Alongside our accredited open programmes, we work as a development partner to organisations, designing bespoke programmes, providing executive coaching, and supporting learning and development strategy.

Who provides leadership development in Suffolk?

CAKE People Development delivers leadership and management development, coaching and mentoring, and people development consultancy across Suffolk from Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds to Lowestoft, Haverhill and everywhere between.

We're an ILM and CMI Approved Centre, accredited to deliver qualifications up to Level 7 in Leadership and Management, and Coaching and Mentoring. We're also one of the few centres in the UK holding ILM Direct Claim status meaning we assess and award qualifications ourselves, without external sign-off slowing things down. It's a mark of trust the ILM only extends to centres who've proven their quality over time.

What open programmes can Suffolk leaders join?

Our open programmes ladder by career stage, so there's a right-sized option for every leader:

Lead Up - ILM Level 3 (Team Leaders and First Line Managers) is a 12 month development programme with three virtual, highly interactive workshops.

£1,795 + VAT including the ILM Level 3 Award.

Lead On - ILM Level 5 (Established Middle Managers) is a 12 month development progarmme four workshops, available virtually.

£2,175 + VAT including qualification or in-person in Diss, starting 2027 (£2,995 + VAT) right on the Suffolk border, one module per month.

Lead Beyond - CMI Level 7 (Directors, Executives and Senior Managers) is our most senior programme, delivered blended with time away from office routines.

£4,250 + VAT including the CMI Level 7 Certificate.

Effective Coaching & Mentoring - ILM Level 5 (Managers, HR & L&D professionals) is a virtual coaching programme led by our incredible Margaret Burnside. It starts anytime and is a bespoke programme to the delegate.

£2,995 + VAT including an ILM Level 5 Qualification

Executive Coaching & Mentoring - ILM Level 7 (Senior Leaders, Directors and Coaches) is a our most senior virtual coaching programme led by our incredible Margaret Burnside. It starts anytime and is a bespoke programme to the delegate.

£3,495 + VAT including an ILM Level 7 Qualification

Every programme is supported by CAKE Connect, our digital learning platform and your home for resources, peer discussion and progress tracking between workshops, with access for the full duration of your programme.
