Lead On is a 12-month development and qualification journey for established middle and first-line managers ready to increase their impact by leading change, driving innovation, and stepping towards senior responsibility. Five workshops, real workplace application in between and a cohort of managers from other businesses facing the same challenges you are.

What's included:

  • Five interactive workshops alongside experienced managers from different organisations and sectors 


  • The ILM Level 5 Certificate registration, assessment and certification all handled by CAKE as an ILM Approved Centre 


  • An experienced CAKE facilitator throughout, with full guidance and support on assignments 


  • CAKE Connect for programme resources, additional learning and online discussion between workshops 


  • 12 months' complimentary studying membership of The Institute of Leadership 


  • All course materials, with flexible assessment support shaped around individual learning needs

  • Understand your own leadership capability and honestly assess how your style impacts the people and performance around you, then build a clear plan to lead with greater effectiveness


  • Motivate and influence your team with purpose by exploring what drives people, how to adapt your approach and how to use communication and persuasion to get the very best from others


  • Identify real opportunities for innovation and change within your organisation and build the confidence to propose solutions that will genuinely improve performance


  • Lead change that actually happens by moving from idea to action with structured tools to manage resistance, bring people with you and measure what matters

  • Once we have your request, one of our team will be in touch within 1 working day to confirm your details, make sure you’re a good fit for the programme, answer any questions and guide you through whats next.

  • We will send you some pre-course documentation we call a pre-CTP (Confirmation to proceed). Once we’ve got this back signed, we will send you the invoice. We can consider payment terms if the full cost is prohibative for private indivudals booking. 

  • Once you’ve signed your Pre-CTP we will get you registered with your relevant accredited body, this usually happens around 30 days prior to your course start date. This includes your membership and details about the course.

  • Alongside getting your signed up, if you haven’t already you will hear from your course director and/or programme facilitator. They might not be the same person. This is a key contact for you to help you get your qualification.

  • Lots happens in the run up to the course starting including getting you signed up to CAKE Connect, all relevant joining instructions will be shared and your learning can begin.
